Daoist Alchemy (Qigong)
Drawing on New Energy
Qigong established itself at the beginning of the 20th century as an independent therapeutic method within TCM. Its origins lie in so‑called Daoist alchemy, a centuries‑old collection of practices for self‑cultivation. In general, these exercises aim to supply the body with more energy through movement, meditation, and breathing.
Qigong practices supplement a person’s innate primal force with new, additional energy. As a result, they lead to a noticeably improved sense of physical wellbeing, greater psychological resilience, and increased vitality. Over the long term, they help one fully unfold one’s physical and mental potential.
Qigong forms the essential foundation for remaining healthy and capable well into old age.
